The OpenStor JovianDSS Metro Cluster hyperconverged system consists of two OpenStor Storage Servers (2U) interconnected with high-speed, low-latency 100GbE LAN cards and RDMA support.
OpenStor JVS ships with JovianDSS software and requires a VMware license as a virtualizer.

Grazie alla tecnologia Advanced HA con Automatic Failover, i due storage operano in modalità Active/Active con mirroring sincrono: ogni scrittura effettuata su uno dei due nodi viene replicata in tempo reale sull’altro, come in un sistema di mirroring hardware.
In the event of a failure of one of the Storage, the Automatic Failover service automatically intervenes to allow the second running system to instantly publish volumes (iSCSI or NFS) without interruption, thus ensuring high data availability.

With a capacity of 60 disks, the JBOD enables exceptional storage density in a 4U rackmount form factor, ideal for applications requiring large volumes of data.
The system integrates Western Digital IsoVibe™ technology, which reduces vibrations caused by the large number of drives, and ArcticFlow™, an innovative airflow design that improves cooling and reduces power consumption.
The JBOD supports up to two dual-port I/O controllers to ensure redundancy, continuous availability, and high-speed 12Gb/s SAS connections. Furthermore, with the ability to daisy-chain multiple drives, it offers linear capacity growth, perfectly adapting to ever-expanding storage needs.
Snapshot management and off-site data protection thanks to JovianDSS
With the OpenStor JVD and JPD hyperconverged system, it’s possible to schedule an unlimited number of snapshots, even every minute, and synchronize them to the secondary Storage Server with JovianDSS for ODPS, thanks to the integrated Off-Site Data Protection service.
The secondary JovianDSS for ODPS storage can instantly make a volume available from one of thousands of snapshots up to the previous minute and publish it to VMware nodes via 10GbE iSCSI ports.
Open-E JovianDSS
Open-E JovianDSS is a ZFS and Linux-based data storage software specially designed to meet the needs of modern storage environments.
Dedicated data protection features allow users to quickly perform backups and related restores in case of any unforeseen event, without the need for additional third-party tools.
On the OpenStor JovianDSS hyperconverged system, the software is already installed and configured.
